This is gonna be a short one.
I had different plans for this entry (discussing tech), but honestly that's lame, so I'm just gonna talk aobut the thing that's actually important: A site update.
I'm introducing a changelog. Every time I make an update (every time), I'll make a log thhere. I'm hoping I'll make verbose and detailed logs, but this is no garantee: I'm as sloppy as it can be, so expect quality to vary wildly.
Work is still being done on Deliverance and such. I just... fuck, like, why am I tired? Every time it feels I aren't doing enough. I don't know how true this is. Well, work is still being done, so I guess I just shouldn't worry.
Also, I'm probably gonna go back to making music. I've always had the desire to make songs for P37254, even if it's just covers, and now that a really cool guy handed me a copy of FL Studio 24, I can finally get back to it. ...not that I will, given the amount of life I'm currently juggling. Being a generalist sucks.
Oh, and as a last note, the server is dead. Uh, for a little bit of background, I had 3 computers under me. There are the two I've already presented, M3 BASZTA and M4 DALEKI, but there was a third: SparePC, or 'ARQUIMEDES.' It's equipped with an i3-10100, and 8GB of DDR4!
SparePC showed up at my house about two years ago (unsure; also it was stolen) and initially acted as a shared computer, seen as my older brothersister needed a desktop too, and my own (at the time standard M3 BASZTA (read footnote)) had broken down at the time. After my sister found her own way, and I fixed Baszta, SparePC ended up sitting around inactive for months, maybe even a whole year. Some time ago (~4 months), however, I got the drive to tinker with computers again, and decided to install Debian 13 on it, (re-)starting my Linux journey (long story on that one). Then, about a month ago, I made an exchange with my brother, who was, until then, using M3 BASZTA a his main PC, while I was on M4 DALEKI. I got M3 BASZTA back, and in exchange, I gave him the SparePC, since it superior o M3's previous configuration (I had stolen it's GPU and the half it's RAM; dark times). Since M3 has a larger case than M4, I later also migrated back to M3, and DALEKI faded into obscurity... for about a week, until I remembered that "Oh, hey, I still have that PC laying around. I should turn that into a server"; and so it was.
All is good for the next few... DAYS, because not too long after I set up the server, SparePC begun having problems. When making the big switch (commonly referred as "The Switcharoo"), I put BASZTA's old SSD on ARQUIMEDES, since it already had Windows 10 and all my brother's on it. However, I suppose the SSD is getting too old now, because Windows is refusing to work on it. The problem seems to be either severe corruption (unlikely), or the SSD is failing to read and write on some occassions, thus needing to be fully replaced. This is the most probable cause, since M3 BASZTA was bought as a used PC, with used parts, and has, again, been 5 years with me. This means that, since the HDD I had put on M4 is the only "spare," working drive I have, it is what's replacing ARQUIMEDES' SSD. So, this means the server is no longer in operation. Sad.
Wow, holy yap! I didn't mean to talk so much about tech but, whatever. In any case, I'm leaving this here. I'm gonna move to update the rest of the site now.
